The Ultimate Stage Spectacle - The Met: Live in HD on movie theater screens nationally.

The live presentations from the Metropolitan Opera House are shown worldwide on Saturdays from October through May at 10AM Pacific. Over 40 countries around the world are participating in The Met: Live in HD this season.

Attending an opera is for sure a wonderful experience; but thanks to at least 10 cameras, you will experience the opera from a multiple points of view. There are many different kinds of shots, including special camera zooms and close-ups seeing the opera with so many cameras is like being on stage with the chorus and participating with the production itself. This is a phenomenal experience for everyone.

During intermissions of the live transmissions: the Live in HD events are enhanced by specially produced features that offer audiences a look behind the scenes. These include live interviews with singers, directors, designers, and stage technicians, as well as documentaries and other short features.

If you never experienced an Opera in HD, you are in for a treat.

Encore Presentations

Are usually shown 10 days later on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30PM in all time zones
An encore presentation of this performance will be exhibited in select movie theaters.
